Safety First
SAFETY
At Oxford Resource Partners we operate some of the industry’s safest mines. Our “incident” rate of 1.6 for the first half of 2011 was 20% better than the national average of 2.0.
This strong safety record can be attributed to our employees’ cooperation and “personal investment” in our extensive safety program, which includes, among other things:- Exceeding all state and federally mandated safety training requirements
- Safety Incentive Awards Program
- Safety “tailgate” meetings
- Utilizing experienced third-party professionals to conduct our blasting activities
